Epitaph lança seu primeiro álbum.

Em 1976, Judas Priest lança o álbum Sad Wings of Destiny onde está a música Epitaph. Em 2000, inspirada em Judas Priest e, ainda, em Saxon, Dio, Accept e no heavy metal original dos anos 80, surge em Porto Alegre a banda Epitaph, formada por roqueiros que tocam por prazer. A Epitaph produz um metal com referências clássicas e um pesado e agressivo tempero thrash, refletindo a visão ácida da banda sobre esses dias de hipocrisia. Após lançar as demos Waiting your Death e The toll of the bell e participar das coletâneas Rock Soldiers (VI) e Garagem Hermética Metal, a Epitaph lança agora o seu primeiro álbum: Getting Down to Business. São dez faixas em inglês onde a sonoridade da banda surge pesada e muito bem produzida. O trabalho conta com a participação do vocalista Gustavo Demarchi (Apocalypse) cantando com JoeF.Louder a música Death Bell.A Epitaph sempre teve boa repercussão na mídia especializada e aposta neste álbum independente para marcar uma nova fase da banda. Afinal, chegou a hora de ir direto aos negócios.

Epitaph is getting down to business.

In 1976, Judas Priest released the album Sad Wings of Destiny, with the song Epitaph into his classics. In 2000, inspired by Judas Priest and, also, Saxon, Dio, Accept and the New Wave of Heavy Metal of the eighties, borns in Porto Alegre, in the south of Brasil, the band Epitaph, formed by five guys who loves rock and roll and plays for pleasure. Epitaph produces a heavy metal sound adding an aggressive thrash attitude to the classics references. The music reflects the corrosive vision of the band about nowadays hypocrisy. After release two demos, Waiting your Death and The toll of the bell, Epitaph releases now it’s first album: Getting Down to Business. The album is sings in English. The ten tracks talk about such unique subjects as the Brazilian unified health system to the disastrous George W. Bush administration. Releasing this heavy and well produced album, Epitaph thinks that, now, is time to get down to business.
